Description
AFTER PABLO PICASSO (1881-1983), 'Eagle's Head', a Xerox copy after an original sketch on tan paper, sheet 28 x 22 cm. With accompanying Xerox memorandum dated 1965. Xerox acquired the sketch of the American bald eagle from Picasso during a lecture on xerography. Picasso drew the bird as an autograph and presented it to a Xerox employee. Xerox used the sketch to help market their new plain paper copier, the 914, to show the quality of their prints. The Picasso eagle prints were distributed to Xerox employees around the world.
